MEP/FP and Civil Engineering and Technical Systems and Water Features Design Services were provided for the Georgia World Congress Center. TEC’s renovation and expansion made the Georgia World Congress Center the fourth largest convention center in the United States at 3.9M SF and gave the center more than 90 acres, a new 1.6M SF, 400,000 SF of exhibit facilities, 75,000 SF of meeting rooms, a 45,000 SF Ballroom, 645,000 SF of back-of-house space, 380,000 SF of plaza space, and over 220,000 SF of parking. Our work spans four phases including civil site engineering, relocation of 30” combined sewer, and electrical substation for Georgia Power, soil encapsulation, and underground ventilation system for contaminated soil plume. The Center boasts: a FedEx office store, restaurant, and food court, concession vendors, a gift shop, parking decks, and pedestrian bridges between buildings.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. This LEED Gold certified project is comprised of a total of 743,257 SF, an 800 key hotel totaling 380,125 SF, a 8,500 SF lobby, ballroom, function and convention centers, 32,775 SF three-meal cafeteria, bar and coffee bar, retail and commercial space, and 20,000 SF health spa and fitness center.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Convention Center. This 150,000 SF conference center is by the Seven Seas Lagoon in Walt Disney World, at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The conference center offers a major performing arts theater, 5 restaurants and lounges, 18,219 SF Grand Floridian Ballroom, 4,680 SF St. Augustine Hall executive boardroom, 1,369 SF Whitehall conference room, 522 SF Key West breakout room, and 1,092 SF Palm Beach Boardroom.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. The Omni Hotel is in the heart of downtown connecting CNN Center and the Georgia World Congress Center. It includes 1,070 guest keys, 1,007 deluxe keys, 29 premium keys, 31 suites, 3 restaurants and lounges, Natural Body Spa, swimming pool, fitness center and salon, 45 meeting rooms with more than 120,000 SF of function space, including the 19,864 SF Grand Ballroom and 2,212-seat theater.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Grand America Hotel and Convention Center. Designed and built as the host hotel for the 2002 Winter Olympics Thompson Ehle Company provided an addition to the 1,000 key existing 24-story hotel. The project included a new central plant and connections between the existing 1,000 keys and the new 775 key Grand Hotel. The Grand’s two ballrooms (approximately 36,000 SF), Grand Salon (4,581 SF), Center Courtyard (35,000 SF) and 20 meeting rooms are state of the art related to electronic connections, power for exhibition and audio/visual. Amenities include: The Grand America Spa, Salon and Fitness Center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and 2 restaurants and lounges. The hotel was used for much of the Olympic broadcasting. TEC also aided in the design of the downhill ski event for the 2002 Games.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. The Grand Panama City Beach Hotel and Convention Center is a 60 acre beachside development that includes: a 400 key hotel, 125,000 SF of convention space, a water activity park with swimming pools, retail strip mall, 180 unit condominium building and a 1,000 space parking deck.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Poliforum Leon Convention Center. This $40M convention and trade center consisted of over 350,000 SF of exhibit areas, more than 484,376 SF of area for conferences and expositions, 54,853 SF lobby/pre-function space, 753 SF Maria Grever Hall, 1,496 SF Francisco Zarco Hall, 646 SF Jose Clemente Orozco Hall, 4,446 SF Emma Godoy Hall, restaurant/cafeteria and service/support areas, and the most modern, flexible, ample and functional facilities in the country. In addition, the facilities included a 2,500 person auditorium, outdoor fairgrounds and exhibit areas and a cultural center.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. The Chattanoogan consists of a conference center and hotel with 210 guest keys. Facilities include a ballroom, 3 restaurants and lounges, game room, fitness center, spa, sauna, and indoor swimming pool separate from the conference center. The Conference Center has 25,000 SF of meeting space including: meeting rooms, boardroom, breakout rooms and amphitheater.
MEP/FP Engineering Design Services were provided. Developed by the Wilson Company, The Bayport Plaza is a 250,000 SF office tower with an adjacent 448-room Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel consisting of: 400 guest rooms in the main tower and 48 waterfront villas or “Casitas”, 27,000 SF of meeting space, an 11,000 SF ballroom, 2 swimming pools, a health club that offers 2 tennis courts and 3 award winning restaurants. It sits on an environmentally protected site containing 39 acres with 3,400 linear feet of frontage along Old Tampa Bay and includes 264,922 rentable SF.

MEP/FP Engineering and Lighting Design Services were provided. The Emory Hotel & Conference Center, nestled in a forest preserve, includes: 325 keys, 2 restaurants and lounges, 23,000 SF of conference space, 15,000 SF of meeting space, a spa, sauna, fitness club, and indoor swimming pool. Recent expansion on this project has achieved LEED Silver.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Hyatt Regency, Greenwich. This classic New England hotel accommodates business travelers with 400 keys, a 10,000 SF ballroom, 10,000 SF of meeting space, a board room and lecture theater, full-service restaurant, deli, nightclub and health spa. The Garden Atrium offers passive heating and cooling design.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Hyatt Regency ballroom expansion. The Hyatt Atlanta has 180,000 SF of ballroom, exhibit, meeting and hospitality space, including 52 meeting rooms, 4 hospitality suites, 3 ballrooms. The hotel features a 26,000 SF ballroom, 38,000 gross SF exhibit hall, and a 19,757 SF conference center with 19 meeting rooms of various sizes.
Engineering Consultation Services were provided for the renovation of the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. TEC reviewed drawings for the renovation that encompassed this entire 170 acre property. The Lincolnshire Marriott includes: 390 keys, 3 floors, 72,000 SF of function space, 22 meeting rooms, 5 restaurants and lounges, Marriott Live Performance Theater with 882-seat Mainstage, 18-hole golf course, tennis club and fitness center.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. The Embassy Suites – Kennesaw Town Center includes: 7-stories, 192 keys, approximately 161,425 SF total, 5,500 SF of flexible meeting and reception space for up to 500 guests, a Ruth’s Chris steakhouse, fitness room, swimming pool, and solarium.
MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. The Franklin Marriott Cool Springs is located just south of Nashville and features 300 keys, 75,000 SF of ballrooms and meeting space and 20,000 SF of reception areas, lobby areas, 3 restaurants and lounges, indoor swimming pool, and fitness center.

This majestic hotel and conference center features a 5-story, 240,000 SF complex containing 311 guest keys and 25 suites, 4 restaurants and lounges, 40,000 SF of meeting space and 48 meeting rooms, a 9,500 SF ballroom, Spa and Fitness Center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, arcade, 2 18-hole championship golf courses, and a 100-seat 4D amphitheater.
