THE POST OAK
Houston, TX


MEP/FP Engineering Design Services were provided to Gensler for The Post Oak. The Post Oak includes: a 35-story, 496 foot tower that houses a luxury hotel, retail space, apartments, condominiums, and office space. The retail space, ballroom, kitchen, pool, meeting rooms, main lobby, back-of-house offices, MEP service rooms, and restaurant make up the first 4 floors of Class “A” office space totaling 54,120 SF takes up 5 floors from 5 to 9. The hotel, which occupies 12 floors from 10 to 22, is approximately 184,080 SF with 250 keys. 27,854 SF of corporate apartments with 20 units on levels 23 and 24. Level 25 contains 10 additional hotel suites, as well as, a VIP Lounge. Floors 26 to 30 house an additional 67,971 SF, 5-stories, of Class ‘A’ office space.

EPICENTRE
Charlotte, NC


MEP/FP Engineering and Technology Infrastructure Design Services were provided. EPICENTRE spans 3.2 acres and includes: 250,000 SF, a 4-story entertainment center with: the 25,000 SF Pavilion open-air event venue, approximately 350,000 SF, 23 restaurants, bars, food outlets & nightclubs, 9 retail shops and 18 lane bowling alley, CBS Radio station, a 4-level 300,000 SF underground parking garage, doctors office space, office space, 48-story residential tower with 600 keys, 658,775 SF of occupied space, aqua lounge, outdoor pool, and 10-story, 200 guest key Aloft hotel. The EPICENTRE project had a construction value of $50M.

The 53-story 210 Trade Street (a residential high-rise tower that is part of EPICENTRE) includes: 419 units, 16,776 SF outdoor entertainment deck, 4-story fitness center, yoga garden, billiards room, private dining room, and media room.

WEST BAY
Doha, Qatar


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the West Bay mixed-use development. West Bay is located on the Arabian Gulf and consists of 2 office buildings (190,000 SF each), 2 22-story apartment buildings (190,000 SF each), 25 townhomes, a full-service 110-slip marina, a 240 key, 18-story, 393,600 SF Four Seasons Resort Hotel with: royal suite floor, grand lobby, club spa, restaurants and 2 ballrooms, business center, tennis center, grotto resort swimming pool and pool bar, large 75,000 SF conference center and parking for 1,100 cars. The West Bay project had a construction value of $600M.

West Bay is a large 4,000,000 SF mixed-use facility that is used for the heads of state meetings by all leaders of the Middle East region. This facility requires redundant services to ensure stable, reliable services at all times. A large Cogeneration Facility Water Treatment and Sanitary Treatment Facility was designed. These facilities provided potable water and irrigation greywater using treated sanitary sewage and produced lower operational costs for the entire facility.

MARKET SQUARE
Washington, DC


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided. Market Square is a 2.2 acre, 1,225,646 gross SF, 2 building mixed-use development with 679,710 SF of office and retail space, and a multi-family residential complex with 220 units.

WASHINGTON GATEWAY
Washington, DC


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Washington Gateway mixed-use development. The Washington Gateway is a $370-million mixed-use development that serves as the northern anchor to the city’s NoMa District. More than 980,000 SF of development was planned, including 2 11-story office towers, an 11-story, 262 unit residential tower, 15,000 SF of street-level retail and 181 hotel keys.

MIDPLAZA
Jakarta, Indonesia


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the MidPlaza mixed-use development. Midplaza includes: 5 basement parking lots with 1,700 car capacity, 50,000 square meters of rentable retail space, InterContinental Hotel, condominiums, tennis and squash courts, 17 restaurants and lounges, and water treatment, sewage treatment & power generation infrastructure improvements. InterContinental MidPlaza Jakarta is a dramatic landmark offering 321 keys including 74 suites and 1 Presidential Suite, spa, retail space, 6 restaurants and lounges, swimming pool, health center, sports court and all the style, comfort and services of a truly luxurious hotel. The Plaza Residences includes: 259 apartments and wellness center and spa. The Midplaza mixed-use development had a construction value of $240M.

This mixed-use development in a subtropical region also allows smoking; indoor air quality/humidity control is a large concern. TEC designed a heat reclaim system using the icemakers and refrigeration equipment to reheat the cooled dehumidified air to maintain space temperature. This lowered the cost of operation and allowed good indoor air quality.

CONCOURSE
Atlanta, GA


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Concourse Complex. The twin 700,000 SF, 32-story Towers at Concourse are the signature buildings of the 63 acre Concourse Complex totaling over 3.5 million SF. This complex includes 5 Class “A” office buildings with the 372 guest key Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel (originally designed as an InterContinental property), an award winning 80,000 SF Athletic Club, 5 restaurants, parking deck, 570’ companion towers (Concourse V and VI, known as the king and queen buildings) differentiated from one another by their distinctive crowns. The castellated square top marks it as the king while the rounded crown is the queen. These are the 2 tallest suburban buildings in the United States. The Concourse Office Complex had a construction value of $550M.

DULLES STATION
Herndon, VA


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Dulles Station mixed-use development. Dulles Station will contain a total of 2.7 million SF including 1,095 multi-family residences, 2 hotels, 1.5 million SF of Class “A” office space, 56,000 SF of retail and restaurants, Metro rail station, a walking path, and recreational green space. The building will include a 2-story lobby that follows the high-tech design by using stainless steel wall panels, a custom glass wall light fixture, marble and granite floors with 2 different colors of Venetian plaster on the main accent walls. This project also includes a 230,000 SF, 8-story structural parking garage.

CAUSEWAY SQUARE
Bay Harbor, FL


MEP/FP Engineering Services were rendered for the Causeway Square mixed-use development. Causeway Square is a 285,283 SF development, with 166,747 SF for office and retail, 4-story mixed-use retail, health club, office building with an abutting 407 car, and a 4 level parking garage. LA Fitness occupies the entire second floor, while the first floor has retailers and the top 2 floors have offices.

PROGRESS ENERGY
Raleigh, NC


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Progress Energy Building. The Progress Energy building is a 19-story, mixed-use building covering a city block in the Raleigh Downtown Redevelopment District. It contains retail, residential, parking and office components. A 2.5 MW diesel fueled standby generator is installed to energize the entire office component, permitting full business function during a loss of utility power.

RIVERSIDE ON THE JAMES
Richmond, VA


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Riverside on the James complex. The Riverside on the James complex is a mixed-use development that includes 100,000 SF of retail, an 8-story office tower totaling 200,000 SF over a 6 level parking deck, and a 10-story residential tower for 210 condominium units.

LANDMARK TOWERS A, B, AND C
Jakarta, Indonesia


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided for the Landmark Office Towers. Towers A and B (31 and 32 stories) have 420,873 SF of space, deep-well standby pumping system, standby power generating equipment, CCTV, security systems and energy management systems. Surrounding the towers is a 51,316 square meter 3 level parking deck, and 2,100 square meters of lettable retail space.

Landmark C is a 32-story office tower of 67,000 square meters with a surrounding 2 level, 14,600 square meter parking deck. The tower contains office space, sewage treatment plant, deep-well standby pumping system with filtration, CCTV, security, standby power generating equipment and the latest energy management systems.

BROADWEST
Nashville, TN


MEP/FP Engineering Design Services are being provided to Cooper Carry for the he Broadwest mixed-use development. Broadwest is a twin-tower development with one 40-story including: a 238 key, 10-story hotel, 228 residential key condominiums, ballroom, restaurant and lounge, and fitness center. The other 20-story tower will consist of: 494,893 SF of Class ‘A’ office space, a lobby, and retail space. Other elements include: 7,702 SF of ancillary retail, structured and on grade plaza, and 7-story, 2,521 space underground parking garage.

HERNDON HOMES
Atlanta, GA


Civil Engineering Design Services are being provided to Oakwood Development for the Hendon Homes Housing/Mixed-Use Revitalization Development. Herndon Homes includes: a Mixed-use facility (retail and residential) on 4 to 5 stories with a grocery store on the ground floor and residential above along Northside Drive, a Mixed-use facility (retail and residential) on 4 to 5 stories with a liner retail store on the ground floor and residential above on Cameron Madison Alexander Blvd., three residential buildings with 565 residential keys total on 4 to 5 stories, an 105 unit senior housing facility, 32 Townhomes, a community center facility, leasing offices, exercise facilities, three above grade parking garages, on grade parking along new rights-of-way and in a surface parking lot near the townhomes site, and internal roads with access onto John Street, Cameron Madison Alexander Blvd., Gray Street, and Northside Drive.

ORCHID BAY
Great Guana Cay, Abaco, Bahamas


Civil Engineering Services were provided to ACI for the Orchid Bay. Orchid Bay consists of: 217 gated acres, a 300 key hotel, 132 single-family residences, restaurant and lounge, 66 slip full service marina, spa and fitness center, outdoor water activity park, 39 acre nature preserve and 4 tennis courts.

BAYPORT PLAZA
Tampa, FL


MEP/FP Engineering Services were provided to TVSdesign. Developed by the Wilson Company, The Bayport Plaza is a 250,000 SF office tower with an adjacent 448-room Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay Hotel consisting of: 400 guest rooms in the main tower and 48 waterfront villas or “Casitas”, 27,000 SF of meeting space, an 11,000 SF ballroom, 2 swimming pools, a health club that offers 2 tennis courts and 3 award winning restaurants. It sits on an environmentally protected site containing 39 acres with 3,400 lineal feet of frontage along Old Tampa Bay and includes 264,922 rentable SF.
